Audiobook Review #1

Sherlock Holmes rediscovered railway mysteries. Four original short stories by John Taylor and narrated by Benedict Cumberbatch. The entire audiobook is only 2 hours and 4 minutes. I am a big Sherlock fan. I have read, listened, and watched many different versions of Sherlock, it gets hard to keep them straight, but I've enjoyed them all.  Of course, not all have the same feel of the characters as the original Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes.

I did enjoy the first story in the audiobook. The story is intriguing, but it didn't give me a real Sherlock feel. It does build better as it continues so if you find yourself, unsure as it begins, I would, say keep listening. All four stories were very enjoyable. All in all, the author did a wonderful job at bringing back to life the intricate, and adventurous lives of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. The narrating of the very talented Benedict Cumberbatch is perfect and brings to life every character of the also talented author John Taylor. Each story has a wonderful mystery that takes you on a thrilling maze through the mind of Sherlock as he gathers clues and solves the puzzle left by each criminal. I would 100% recommend this for anyone who enjoys Sherlock Holmes, or mysteries. The author did such a great job that I was left wanting to hear more. I will be looking for more John Taylor mystery books in the future.
